“Basanta” (or Vasanta in Hindi) is originally a Sanskrit word which means “spring”; also means “a new beginning”. In North and Eastern India culture, Vasanta related to a festival marks the end of the winter and heralds in spring, dedicated for Sarasvati goddess. Thus, on this special day people pray for Sarasvati goddess to remove the darkness (ignorance) of the mind and bless with the eternal knowledge.
Basanta Agro Organic is a center of education and recreation. It is also an agricultural landscape dedicated to preserve organic gardens looking at plants & animals in all their functions in order to produce best quality products. Vegan and wellness approach following the whole concept scene on service and products string along with Balinese tradition, culture and nature.
Our mission is to share our knowledge about agricultural practice packed in a fun yet restorative way that finally allows your mind restore the goodness of life and spring the fruitful wellness for a new beginning!
Learn to cook simple Balinese dishes in an outdoor kitchen set up complete your visit to Bali. Our cooking class is set for maximum 8 pax. All participants have their hands-on the cooking process. In three to four hours cooking process participants learn to make five local Balinese dishes and one traditional drink.
Roasting coffee is best when you do it slow! Learn how to roast coffee along with our Cooking Class package. You can certainly bring home your own roasted coffee product after knowing and learning how to produce it.



Along the cooking class practice, you will learn how to make:

Appetizer :

  • Sayur Urap (Balinese raw vegetable salad, with Kecicang dressing)
  • Mango Avocado Salad (Mango and avocado salad with Rujak dressing)

Main Course :

  • Raw Gado-gado (Rolled mixed veggies with peanut sauce)
  • Pepes Jamur (Mushroom wrapped in banana leaf, grilled on charcoal ember, served with Balinese sauce)
  • Kare Sayur (Balinese vegetable curry with coconut mik and Balinese spices)

Dessert :

  • Pisang Rai (Poached banana served with grated coconut and palm sugar)

Traditional drink:

  • Jamu Kunyit (Turmeric juice, mixed with lemon)

Tour Itinerary

Our driver will pick you up from your lobby hotel with full air conditioner transportation and drive you directly to Basanta Agro Organic. On arrival,welcoming by our staff with fresh welcome drink and meet our chef .
Clear and simple explanation from our chef will guide you to experiences how to cook vegan food.Fresh air,friendly temperatur and sorrounding by many kind of spices trees will make memorable cooking experience.
You will have chance to learn about Balinese spicys and traditional process to make Bali coffee . In the end, having lunch, then transfer back to your hotel.
