Meet the Orang Utan on their habitat Book your place on one of our orangutan tours and our experienced guides will unveil a world rarely seen – wild orangutans feeding on the banks of the Sekoyner River and other amazing wildlife sightings in Borneo’s Tanjung Puting National Park.Meet rehabilitated orangutans at the famous Camp Leakey, along with macaques, Proboscis monkeys, gibbons, and other mammals.On our wild orangutan tours you’ll travel leisurely along the river, spotting crocodiles and monitor lizards basking in the sun, and watching stunning kingfishers swoop in front of your klotok. If you’re lucky you’ll hear the deep flapping sound of hornbills overhead, or find delicate and beautiful butterflies landing on you.This is the camping experience with a difference! On your orangutan tour you can spend a night under the jungle stars in the comfort and safety of your traditional klotok river boat – where the sounds of the forest will lull you into a gentle sleep, and awake you at dawn with a magnificent chorus of exotic birds and insects.Exploring the Borneo rainforest really is the trip of a lifetime. Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Bali – Surabaya– Pangkalan Bun – Kumai – Park
Pick up service at our hotel in Bali, and then transfer to the airport for your flight to Pangkalan Bun via Surabaya.
Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport you will be picked up by your guide and drive to Kumai boat stage for around 20 minutes. Board on the boat and up to Sekonyer river to Tanjung Puting National Park . The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden river boat about 17m by 2.5m with roof upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. On the way up stop Tanjung Harapan Rehabilitation center for orangutan and witness feeding time at 15.00. In the peaceful afternoon we will slowly cruise the river searching for wildlife, you may see nose monkey, long tail macaque, birds along the riverside. Dinner and Overnight on the boat with comfortable mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottled "mineral" water, mosquito net. Kitchen and simple western style toilet and shower available on boat. (Lunch, Dinner).
 
Day 2: Park – Pesalat - Camp Leakey – Park
Early morning is the best time for bird watching, or just enjoy the forest surrounding while enjoy breakfast. join with replantation activities by planting the tropical plant. Back to the boat and cruise up river to Sekonyer river side creek through tea colored water where you will see the magnificent reflection from the vegetation along the river, when lucky with us, the fresh water crocodile and other wildlife attraction could find a long river bank. Lunch provide on the way. Upon arrival at Camp Leakey take short trek through to the jungle before witness feeding time at 14.00 pm for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods. Dinner and Overnight on the boat. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
 
Day 3: Park – Pondok Tanggui - Camp Leakey – Park
After breakfast board the klotok cruise the river for Pondok Tanggui, the rehabilitation center for orangutans, witness feeding time at 09.00am Take short trek surrounding the area before continuing for 2nd visit at Camp Leakey. Take short trekking through tropical rainforest searching for wildlife, birds and other rainforest animals as well as tropical jungle plant. Back to the boat for lunch then witness feeding time at 14.00pm for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods. Dinner and Overnight on the boat. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner).
 
Day 4: Park - Kumai - Pangkalan Bun – Surabaya - Bali
Breakfast on the boat then cruise down the river back transfer to Kumai. And drive to Pangkalan Bun airport for your flight back to Bali via Surabaya. (Breakfast)
